As an Entertainment Manager, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of entertainment initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative entertainment programs and events tailored to various audiences.
- Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and logistics from conception to completion.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with performers, artists, vendors, and external service providers.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise entertainment staff, technicians, and volunteers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure all events comply with safety regulations, local ordinances, and company policies and standards.
- Monitor and analyze event performance, gathering feedback and utilizing key metrics for continuous improvement and strategic refinement.
- Collaborate effectively with marketing, communications, and other internal teams to promote events and maximize attendance.
- Identify new entertainment trends, talent, and opportunities to enhance audience engagement and experience.
- Oversee technical requirements, production setup, and execution for all performances and events.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, community partners, and local talent agencies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in entertainment, event, or venue management.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.

- Proficiency in budget development, financial oversight, and cost control.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Arts Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with diverse entertainment formats, such as live music, theatre, festivals, corporate events, and family entertainment.
- Certification in Event Management (e.g., CMP, CSEP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with the local entertainment market, venues, and talent pool in the Independence, MO area.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
