Job Description
Bee’ah is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team in Kalba, Sharjah, on a flexible hours contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical environmental projects, providing expert advice and solutions to clients across various industries within the region. As an Environmental Consultant, you will be instrumental in conducting environmental impact assessments, developing robust sustainability strategies, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and delivering actionable recommendations that align with both local regulations and global best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) studies for new and existing projects.
- Develop and implement tailored environmental management plans, sustainability strategies, and waste reduction programs for clients.
- Provide expert advice on local and international environmental regulations, ensuring client compliance (e.g., UAE Federal Law No. 24 of 1999).
- Prepare detailed, high-quality technical reports, proposals, and engaging presentations for clients and regulatory authorities.
- Liaise effectively with clients, government agencies, and various stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and foster strong, collaborative relationships.
- Monitor environmental performance, meticulously analyze data, and recommend proactive corrective actions or continuous improvements.
- Stay abreast of emerging environmental technologies, policies, legislative changes, and industry best practices to ensure up-to-date consultation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in environmental consulting or a closely related environmental field.
- Strong knowledge of UAE environmental legislation and regulations, particularly within the Emirate of Sharjah.
- Expertise in conducting EIAs, risk assessments, environmental audits, and developing mitigation strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in technical report writing and professional presentation delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging confidently with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in environmental software (e.g., GIS, environmental modelling tools) is a distinct advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional, NEBOSH, LEED Green Associate).
- Experience with waste management strategies, circular economy principles, and resource recovery projects.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities, including experience managing project budgets and timelines effectively.
- Fluency in Arabic is a significant advantage for client and stakeholder engagement.
