Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I & II ESAs) and develop remediation strategies.
  • Perform environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and prepare technical reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Design and implement pollution prevention programs, waste management plans, and air quality control systems.
  • Ensure projects comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, DEEP).
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and regulatory bodies to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Prepare permit applications and manage regulatory approvals for various environmental projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on environmental engineering principles to junior staff and clients.
  • Participate in fieldwork, site inspections, and monitoring activities as required.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an Environmental focus, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
  • Proficiency in environmental regulations (CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for report writing and client interaction.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience with site investigation, remediation design, and project management.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) for data analysis and mapping.
  • Familiarity with environmental modeling software.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Prior experience working on projects for municipal, state, or federal clients.
