Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I & II ESAs) and develop remediation strategies.
- Perform environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and prepare technical reports for regulatory agencies.
- Design and implement pollution prevention programs, waste management plans, and air quality control systems.
- Ensure projects comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, DEEP).
- Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and regulatory bodies to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Prepare permit applications and manage regulatory approvals for various environmental projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance on environmental engineering principles to junior staff and clients.
- Participate in fieldwork, site inspections, and monitoring activities as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an Environmental focus, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
- Proficiency in environmental regulations (CERCLA, RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for report writing and client interaction.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated experience with site investigation, remediation design, and project management.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) for data analysis and mapping.
- Familiarity with environmental modeling software.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Prior experience working on projects for municipal, state, or federal clients.
