Career.zycto is on the lookout for a dedicated and passionate Equal Opportunity Officer to join our vibrant team in Schöneberg, Berlin. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive equal opportunity policies and programs in compliance with national and international legislation (e.g., German General Equal Treatment Act – AGG).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and impartial advisor for employees regarding issues of discrimination, harassment, and unfair treatment.
  • Conduct investigations into complaints of discrimination or harassment, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and company procedures.
  • Provide regular training and awareness programs for employees and management on equal opportunity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-discrimination best practices.
  • Advise management on strategies to foster a diverse and inclusive workforce, including recruitment, promotion, and talent development processes.
  • Monitor and analyze workforce demographics, identify potential areas of disparity, and recommend corrective actions or initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit reports on equal opportunity activities, compliance status, and diversity metrics to senior management and relevant external bodies as required.
  • Stay abreast of changes in equal opportunity legislation and best practices, adapting company policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Collaborate with HR and legal departments to ensure all employment-related practices, from job descriptions to termination procedures, are non-discriminatory.
  • Champion an inclusive culture through various internal communications and initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing equal opportunity and diversity programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of German and EU anti-discrimination laws and regulations (e.g., AGG).
  • Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Law, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) or related areas.
  • Experience working in a multinational or diverse organizational environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and data analytics tools for tracking EEO metrics.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
