Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of equine clients to identify musculoskeletal imbalances, lameness issues, and performance limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic treatment plans utilizing a range of modalities such as sports massage, myofascial release, stretching, and therapeutic exercises.
- Educate horse owners and trainers on post-treatment care, preventative measures, and maintenance exercises to support long-term equine health and performance.
- Maintain accurate and thorough client records, including detailed assessment findings, treatment protocols, progress notes, and future recommendations.
- Collaborate effectively with veterinarians, farriers, and other equine professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
- Adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct, ethical practice, and animal welfare at all times.
- Manage scheduling, invoicing, and logistics for client appointments efficiently and professionally.
Required Skills
- Certified Equine Massage Therapist (CEMT) or equivalent recognized certification from an accredited institution.
- In-depth knowledge of equine anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in applying various equine therapeutic modalities.
- Strong observational, diagnostic, and palpation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both animals and their human caregivers.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule effectively.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for client visits.
Preferred Qualifications
