Key Responsibilities
- Execute landscape designs, including precise planting, turfing, and comprehensive garden bed preparation.
- Construct and install various hardscapes such as patios, pathways, retaining walls, and fencing.
- Safely operate and maintain a diverse range of landscaping equipment and tools (e.g., mowers, strimmers, mini-diggers).
- Perform routine garden maintenance tasks including weeding, pruning, mulching, hedge trimming, and irrigation system checks.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and within specified timelines and budgets.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines and company operational procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, supervisors, and clients as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work site, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
- Assist with material loading, unloading, and efficient site clean-up upon project completion.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Landscaper or in a similar outdoor maintenance role (minimum 2 years).
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for clear communication and understanding instructions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of horticulture, including plant identification, care, and common garden maintenance techniques.
- Practical experience with hardscaping installation, including paving, decking, and fencing.
- Ability to operate a variety of landscaping machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina and resilience, with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid UK Driving Licence and ability to travel to various work sites across the region.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Horticulture, Landscaping, or a closely related field.
- Possession of a valid CSCS card.
- Experience with irrigation system installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Basic understanding of landscape design principles and ability to interpret plans.
- Current First Aid certification.
