Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of properties, including residential and commercial estates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate and oversee all property maintenance activities, including scheduling repairs, renovations, and routine inspections with vendors and contractors.
  • Administer lease agreements, track renewals, manage move-ins/move-outs, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records, tenant files, and financial documentation.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for property operations, monitoring expenditures to ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, ensure safety standards, and uphold property aesthetics.
  • Assist in the enforcement of property rules and regulations, handling disputes and ensuring a harmonious community environment.
  • Generate reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and maintenance activities for senior management.
  • Collaborate with the finance department on rent collection and accounts receivable management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in property management or estate coordination.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Robust problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • High degree of professionalism and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Certification in Property Management (e.g., CPM, ARM).
  • Experience with local Mozambican property laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards in property management.
  • Prior experience supervising maintenance staff or external contractors.
