Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration testing on web applications, network infrastructures, APIs, and other systems.
- Identify, document, and report security vulnerabilities and weaknesses with clarity and precision.
- Develop proof-of-concept exploits to effectively demonstrate the potential impact of identified vulnerabilities.
- Provide actionable recommendations and detailed remediation strategies to development and operations teams.
- Perform detailed security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability scanning exercises.
- Stay relentlessly up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and penetration testing techniques.
- Collaborate effectively with internal security teams and client stakeholders to ensure security best practices are integrated throughout the development and operational lifecycles.
- Participate in security incident response activities as needed, providing expert analysis and support.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and compelling presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.) and their security implications.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and exploit development.
- Demonstrable experience with various penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark).
- In-depth knowledge of web application security vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10.
- Familiarity with operating systems like Linux, Windows Server, and macOS from a security perspective.
