Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload freight by hand or by using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Sort, stack, and organize products in designated warehouse locations with precision and accuracy.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movements and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct quality checks on products to identify damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency and meet daily targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in cycle counting as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, typically up to 50 lbs, repeatedly throughout an evening shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent reliability and a strong commitment to punctuality and attendance.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, count items, and complete simple paperwork.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Downtown Bakersfield facility for evening shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6-12 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physically demanding environment.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or scanning technology.
- High School Diploma or GED.
