As an Event Security Guard, you will be the frontline ambassador for safety and order at a diverse range of events, from concerts and festivals to corporate gatherings and sporting events. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas to detect and deter unauthorized activities, maintain order, and ensure a safe environment for all attendees.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry/exit of personnel and vehicles.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations, following established protocols.
- De-escalate conflicts and manage disruptive behavior in a professional and calm manner.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting attendees with directions and information while maintaining a security presence.
- Conduct thorough bag checks and security screenings as required.
- Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, documenting observations and actions taken.
- Collaborate with event staff, emergency services, and law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Operate security equipment such as radios, metal detectors, and surveillance systems.
- Enforce event rules and regulations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Required Skills
- Valid New Brunswick Security Guard License
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification (Level C)
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliability and punctuality
