Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5 Tonne vehicle for the delivery of goods to various destinations.
- Conduct thorough daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Ensure accurate completion of all delivery documentation, manifests, and digital tachograph entries.
- Adhere strictly to all road transport, tachograph, and working time regulations.
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of goods as required, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with the transport office, colleagues, and customers.
- Maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally and courteously at all times.
- Diligent adherence to all company health and safety guidelines and procedures.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving Licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 Tonne).
- Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum of 18 months commercial driving experience with a 7.5 Tonne vehicle.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence (for minor offences).
- Strong understanding of road transport legislation and working time directives.
- Excellent geographical knowledge of Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual handling of goods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift licence (e.g., Counterbalance or Reach).
- Proven experience with multi-drop delivery routes.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle checks.
- Customer service experience in a delivery or transport context.
