Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas to detect and prevent unauthorized activities, theft, or vandalism.
- Monitor entry and exit points, controlling access for authorized personnel and guests.
- Conduct bag checks, metal detection, and other screening procedures as required.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, or suspicious activities.
- Provide clear and concise verbal instructions and directions to event attendees.
- De-escalate conflicts and resolve issues calmly and professionally.
- Write accurate and detailed incident reports, documenting observations and actions taken.
- Collaborate effectively with event staff, emergency services, and other security personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, local regulations, and venue-specific procedures.
- Assist guests with inquiries, lost and found, and general event information.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona Guard Card (Armed or Unarmed, depending on assignment)
- Minimum 6 months of security experience (event security preferred)
- Excellent observational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience with crowd management techniques
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role
- Ability to operate security equipment such as radios, metal detectors, and surveillance systems
