Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patrols and maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activities.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and manage guest entry/exit.
- Perform bag and personal property searches as required by event protocols.
- Effectively manage crowds, ensuring smooth flow and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches.
- Liaise with event organizers, emergency services, and fellow security personnel.
- Provide clear directions and information to event attendees in a friendly and professional manner.
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain detailed logs of security activities.
- Enforce venue rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
- Operate security equipment such as CCTV, radios, and metal detectors.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Customer service-oriented approach
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event security or a similar public-facing security role
- Emergency First Aid at Work qualification
- Conflict Resolution training
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and health and safety regulations pertinent to events
