Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of train interiors, including seats, floors, windows, and luggage racks.
- Sanitise high-touch surfaces such as grab handles, door buttons, and restroom facilities.
- Empty and replace waste bins, ensuring proper waste segregation and disposal.
- Replenish supplies in restrooms, including soap, toilet paper, and hand towels.
- Report any damage, defects, or cleanliness issues beyond standard cleaning to supervisory staff.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, company policies, and cleaning protocols.
- Operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
- Work effectively within a team to meet cleaning schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain a professional and polite demeanour, especially when working in passenger-facing areas.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or similar roles (at least 6 months)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability and excellent timekeeping skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures related to cleaning.
- Basic communication skills to understand instructions and report issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a transport or public facing environment.
- Knowledge of different cleaning chemicals and their appropriate uses.
