Gorillas Volcanoes Hotel is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused, and highly dependable individuals to join our vibrant team as Event Ushers for various temporary assignments. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon their arrival, providing a positive first impression of the event and venue.
- Efficiently direct guests to their designated seats, sections, or specific event areas, ensuring smooth flow.
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate information regarding event schedules, venue facilities, and available services.
- Proactively assist guests with any inquiries, offer directions, and professionally resolve minor issues or concerns.
- Manage crowd control effectively, ensuring orderly entry, movement, and exit from all event spaces.
- Distribute programs, promotional materials, brochures, or other event-related items as required.
- Continuously monitor event areas to ensure cleanliness, guest safety, and adherence to security protocols, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate seamlessly with event organizers, security personnel, catering staff, and other hotel team members.
- Ensure strict compliance with all hotel policies, safety regulations, and emergency procedures during events.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging seating, signage, and equipment, as needed.
- Maintain a consistently professional appearance and demeanor, representing the hotel’s high standards at all times.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly and efficiently as required by event demands.
- Outstanding punctuality, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility are essential.

- Proven problem-solving skills and the capacity to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and English is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, event support, or related guest-facing role.
- Basic knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to communicate effectively in French or other international languages.
- Familiarity with the Musanze area, local attractions, and cultural nuances.
