Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mechanic with a strong focus on auto repair and service to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art service centre in Wooton, Vacoas-Phoenix. This is a critical role for an individual who is passionate about automotive technology, committed to precision, and thrives in a professional, customer-centric environment. As an Experienced Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance. You will be expected to utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify complex issues, execute repairs with meticulous attention to detail, and communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and recommended services. Our ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of modern vehicle systems, from engine mechanics and transmissions to advanced electrical and electronic components. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and systematic problem-solving techniques.
- Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
- Conduct road tests to verify repairs and ensure vehicle performance meets required benchmarks.
- Document all services performed, parts used, and hours worked accurately and legibly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Continuously update knowledge on new vehicle technologies and repair methods through training and self-study.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and parts department to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of jobs.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control and customer service.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Auto Mechanic in a reputable workshop or dealership.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., OBD-II scanners, multimeters).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in Automotive Technology.
- Experience with specific brands represented by Leal & Co Ltd (e.g., BMW, MINI, Renault, Kia).
- ASE or equivalent international certifications.
- Proficiency with dealership-specific diagnostic software.
- Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
