Jamalco is seeking a motivated Export Documentation Trainee to join our dynamic team in Ewarton, St. Catherine. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of a wide range of export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other required shipping documents.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain comprehensive electronic and physical records of all export transactions.
- Liaise effectively with internal departments (e.g., Commercial, Production, Finance) and external partners (e.g., freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines) to ensure timely information exchange and smooth coordination.
- Ensure all export activities comply with national and international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
- Track shipment statuses and assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the export process.
- Provide administrative support to the Export/Logistics team, including filing, archiving, and managing correspondence.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on changes in international trade policies, shipping procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the export documentation function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- A foundational understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms) and customs procedures.
