Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages to designated locations within the Birch Cliff and greater Toronto area.
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedules and routes, ensuring prompt arrival at each destination.
- Verify the accuracy of orders before delivery and ensure packages are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Utilize navigation tools and company-provided technology to optimize delivery routes and manage tasks.
- Complete necessary paperwork or digital logs for each delivery and pickup.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues.
- Perform routine checks on the delivery vehicle (if company-provided) or personal vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
Required Skills
- Valid G Class Driver's License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to navigate Toronto streets efficiently using GPS and mapping applications.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical capability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 50 lbs).
- Access to a reliable smartphone with data for communication and navigation.
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with the Birch Cliff and East Toronto area.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
