This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to start your career in a dynamic hospitality environment, specifically supporting our in-house tailoring and linen management operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of materials used for various resort needs, from guest linen and staff uniforms to decorative fabrics. No prior direct experience in fabric cutting is required, as comprehensive training will be provided on the job. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tailors and seamstresses in preparing fabric for cutting.
- Measure and mark fabric according to patterns and specifications under supervision.
- Carefully cut various types of fabric using manual cutting tools (scissors, rotary cutters) following guidelines.
- Organize and label cut fabric pieces for easy identification and assembly.
- Inspect fabric for defects or inconsistencies before cutting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tidying tools and disposing of fabric scraps.
- Operate and maintain basic fabric cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the inventory management of fabric rolls and other related supplies.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the tailoring and linen management team.
