Beyond sourcing, you will play a crucial part in the entire product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Develop and execute strategic buying plans aligned with company goals, budget, and brand aesthetic.
- Source, select, and procure a diverse range of fashion merchandise from local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms with vendors regarding pricing, payment, delivery, and quality standards.
- Manage the open-to-buy (OTB) budget, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing overstock or stockouts.
- Analyze sales data, margins, and inventory performance to make informed buying decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product development, promotional strategies, and visual merchandising.
- Monitor product quality and ensure ethical sourcing practices are maintained throughout the supply chain.
- Prepare regular performance reports and present insights to management.
- Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and supplier meetings to stay abreast of industry developments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Fashion Buyer, preferably with 3+ years in a retail environment.
- Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with proficiency in retail math and forecasting.
- Deep understanding of fashion trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English.
Preferred Qualifications
