Job Description
We are actively seeking talented and enthusiastic freelance Fashion Models to join our creative team for upcoming runway shows, editorial photoshoots, and commercial campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity for models eager to gain experience, expand their portfolio, and work with a leading local photography studio in Kahama. As a freelance model, you will be an integral part of our visual storytelling, bringing designs, concepts, and products to life through your presence and posing. You will work on a project-by-project basis, collaborating closely with our photographers, stylists, and clients to achieve specific artistic and marketing objectives. Projects may range from showcasing traditional Tanzanian garments, contemporary fashion, local brand campaigns, or conceptual art photography. The ideal candidate will possess a strong professional demeanor, exceptional adaptability, and a genuine passion for fashion and modeling. We value individuals who can take direction well, express a range of emotions, and maintain a high level of energy and focus throughout shoots and events. Key Responsibilities
- Execute various poses and expressions as directed by photographers and creative directors for both static and dynamic shots.
- Walk the runway with confidence and grace, showcasing garments effectively during fashion shows and events.
- Collaborate effectively with photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and clients to achieve desired project outcomes.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times, including punctuality for all call times and fittings.
- Adhere to wardrobe guidelines and take care of garments and accessories during shoots and shows.
- Communicate availability and project preferences clearly and proactively.
- Be open to feedback and capable of adapting performance based on creative direction.
- Represent Deogratius Mwema Photography with professionalism and integrity.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to pose effectively for photography and walk confidently for runway.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
- Strong stamina and ability to stand, move, and maintain poses for extended periods.
- Adaptability and willingness to work with various creative concepts and styles.
- Basic understanding of fashion trends and aesthetic principles.

- A presentable and updated portfolio (digital or print) showcasing previous work, even if amateur.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of active modeling experience (freelance, agency, or independent projects).
- Experience in both still photography and live runway events.
- Versatility in portraying different characters or moods.
- Proficiency in Swahili and English.
- A strong personal brand or social media presence related to fashion or lifestyle.
- Formal training in modeling or performing arts is a plus.
