Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to established recipes and standards (e.g., chopping vegetables, prepping meats, assembling sauces).
- Assist cooks and chefs with various tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the kitchen during peak and off-peak hours.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including regular cleaning of equipment, countertops, and storage areas throughout your shift.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, reporting any shortages or quality concerns to the kitchen manager promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling, storage, and temperature control of all food items.
- Receive and properly store deliveries, rotating stock using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methods to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Perform general kitchen duties as assigned, contributing to the overall cleanliness, organization, and success of the team.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
