As a Field Enumerator, you will be on the frontline, playing a crucial role in gathering essential information that supports our various community development initiatives and operational insights. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face interviews and surveys with community members, households, and businesses in designated areas, adhering strictly to established protocols and guidelines.
- Accurately collect and record data using provided digital tools (e.g., tablets or smartphones) or paper questionnaires, ensuring completeness and legibility.
- Clearly explain the purpose of surveys and answer participant questions in a professional and culturally sensitive manner.
- Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all collected information and participant identities.
- Verify collected data for accuracy and completeness on a daily basis, rectifying any discrepancies promptly.
- Manage and safeguard assigned equipment, including tablets, survey forms, and identification.
- Maintain open communication with team leaders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and fieldwork observations.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and ethical standards throughout the data collection process.
- Participate in all required training sessions and debriefings.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in local languages spoken in Vereeniging (e.g., Sesotho, isiZulu, Afrikaans) in addition to English.
- Previous experience in any community-based work, volunteering, or roles involving public interaction (even informal).
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., using email, basic word processing).
- Residency in or close proximity to Vereeniging, Gauteng.
