Key Responsibilities

  • Assist various departments (e.g., Art, Camera, Grip, Electric) with on-set tasks as needed.
  • Help with the loading, unloading, and organizing of equipment and supplies.
  • Run errands, including picking up and delivering items to and from set, production office, or vendors.
  • Set up and break down production areas, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Distribute call sheets, scripts, and other production documents.
  • Provide general administrative support to the production office, such as filing, copying, and data entry.
  • Assist with craft services, ensuring cast and crew have access to refreshments and meals.
  • Follow instructions from senior crew members and anticipate needs to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and production guidelines on set and during transport.

Required Skills

  • Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Reliable transportation to and from various production locations in the Binbrook, Hamilton area.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to learn more.
  • Punctuality and a commitment to working flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends, as required by production schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., retail, hospitality, warehousing).
  • Basic knowledge of film production terminology and processes.
  • A valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Enrollment or completion of a film studies or media production program.
