Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and collection efforts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure proper cash flow management.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local and national financial regulations, tax laws, and internal accounting policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing analytical insights.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Manage fixed assets register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
- Contribute to financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role.
- CPA (KASNEB certification) or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration.
