Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team on business performance, investment opportunities, and cost management.
  • Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., UK GAAP, IFRS).
  • Oversee cash flow management, treasury functions, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies for effective risk management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads to understand their financial needs and provide support for budgetary control.
  • Drive financial modelling and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.

Required Skills

  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3-5 years at a senior leadership level.
  • Demonstrable expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and policy development.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced analytical tools.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing talent.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • Experience within the recruitment or professional services sector.
  • Proven experience with change management and process improvement initiatives within a finance function.
  • Familiarity with various ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
