Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team on business performance, investment opportunities, and cost management.
- Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., UK GAAP, IFRS).
- Oversee cash flow management, treasury functions, and capital expenditure planning.
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies for effective risk management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to all statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to understand their financial needs and provide support for budgetary control.
- Drive financial modelling and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.
Required Skills
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3-5 years at a senior leadership level.
- Demonstrable expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and policy development.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced analytical tools.
