Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Finance Officer specializing in Budgeting & Accounts Reconciliation to join our dynamic finance team in Leeds. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor departmental and organizational budgets, tracking variances and providing detailed analysis.
- Perform regular and thorough reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances identified during the reconciliation process in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data, explain budget performance, and provide financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with all internal financial controls, company policies, and external regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow, prepare forecasts, and assist with treasury functions as required.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents with precision.
- Maintain comprehensive financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Contribute to process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in accounts reconciliation and general ledger management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
