Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial needs analyses for prospective and existing clients to understand their financial objectives, risk tolerance, and current situation.
- Develop and present comprehensive, personalized financial plans that align with client goals, utilizing Old Mutual’s extensive product suite including investments, insurance, retirement annuities, and savings solutions.
- Actively prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, and community engagement initiatives to expand your client base and achieve sales targets.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, providing regular reviews of their financial plans, adapting strategies as their circumstances evolve, and ensuring continued satisfaction.
- Achieve and exceed agreed-upon sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for product sales, client retention, and activity levels.
- Stay current with financial market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to provide informed and up-to-date advice to clients.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Old Mutual internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical guidelines, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and compliance.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and professional accreditation.
- Prepare accurate client documentation, proposals, and reports, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and correctly.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in financial advisory, sales, or a related client-facing role within the financial services industry.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse client base.
- Strong sales acumen with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
- Sound understanding of financial planning principles, investment products, life insurance, and retirement solutions.
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess client needs and tailor appropriate solutions.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with financial planning software.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications such as Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or equivalent.
- Existing client portfolio or established network within the Manicaland Province.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transport.
