Career.zycto is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Financial Operations Reconciliation Officer to join our client’s dynamic finance team in Bunbury. This pivotal full-time role is essential for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial records by meticulously reconciling various accounts, transactions, and statements. As a Financial Operations Reconciliation Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial data consistency, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions promptly. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, intercompany accounts, and various payment platforms.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive reconciliation reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury) to resolve reconciliation differences and improve processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reconciliation processes and controls, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures related to reconciliations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in financial reconciliation or a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with enterprise-level accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, MYOB).
- CPA or CIMA foundational knowledge/studies.
- Experience in a regulated financial services environment.
