Our meticulously structured training program is designed to equip you with all the necessary skills to safely and efficiently perform a wide range of deck duties. This includes the proper handling, sorting, and storage of catch, all while adhering strictly to national and international maritime regulations and environmental best practices for sustainable fishing. You will become proficient in the routine maintenance of deck equipment, ensuring that all tools and machinery are in optimal working order, and that the vessel remains clean, organized, and ready for all operations. Active participation in all aspects of daily routines, under the direct supervision of our experienced captains and senior deckhands, will be a cornerstone of your development.
At CB Group, we foster a supportive and collaborative environment where safety is paramount, and continuous learning is not just encouraged, but expected. You will develop critical problem-solving skills, enhance your teamwork capabilities, and build the mental and physical resilience required for a successful and long-term career in the marine environment. This role demands physical fitness, mental fortitude, a strong ability to adapt to changing conditions, and a readiness to work diligently outdoors in various weather scenarios.
