Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain fishing gear, including nets, traps, and lines.
- Assist with the safe deployment and retrieval of fishing equipment.
- Sort, clean, and store catches according to established protocols.
- Monitor weather and sea conditions and communicate effectively with the captain and crew.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vessel and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, maritime laws, and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on deck and throughout the vessel.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure efficient and productive fishing operations.
- Handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Assist with docking, anchoring, and general vessel operations.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly.
