Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market pricing for jobs using various salary surveys and compensation tools to ensure external competitiveness.
  • Participate in annual and ad-hoc salary surveys, analyzing results to identify trends and inform compensation decisions.
  • Design, maintain, and administer salary structures, bonus plans, and other incentive programs.
  • Perform in-depth analyses of compensation data, identifying discrepancies, and making recommendations for adjustments.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and management on compensation-related issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations, including FLSA and pay equity.
  • Develop and deliver compensation-related training and communication materials to employees and managers.
  • Support the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus payouts.
  • Analyze and evaluate jobs for appropriate titling, salary grade assignment, and FLSA exemption status.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of compensation processes, tools, and systems.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis or a related HR analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply compensation principles, practices, and theories.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and compensation management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws (e.g., FLSA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or working towards certification.
  • Experience with global compensation practices.
  • Familiarity with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment or supporting multiple business units/industries.
