Key Responsibilities
- Wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice vegetables, fruits, and other food items according to recipes and instructions.
- Prepare and portion ingredients precisely for various dishes and daily production needs.
- Assist cooks and chefs with various kitchen tasks, including mixing, stirring, and assembling food.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work station, including washing dishes, utensils, and sanitizing surfaces throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures meticulously, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of food to prevent cross-contamination.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to supervisors to ensure adequate supplies.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as blenders, food processors, and slicers.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and properly storing deliveries of food supplies and dry goods.
