Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Forensic Accountant to join our dedicated team in Hintonburg, Ottawa. You will work on diverse cases, ranging from litigation support and insurance claims to fraud detection and asset tracing, providing expert testimony and comprehensive reports. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial investigations into alleged fraud, embezzlement, and financial irregularities.
  • Analyze complex financial data, records, and transactions to identify patterns and discrepancies.

  • Provide litigation support, including expert witness testimony in court proceedings and depositions.
  • Assess damages, quantify economic losses, and perform asset tracing.
  • Collaborate with legal teams, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies for fraud detection and prevention.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and forensic accounting techniques.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years progressive experience in forensic accounting, auditing, or financial investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation or actively pursuing.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, data mining, and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Impeccable ethical standards and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) designation.
  • Master's degree in Forensic Accounting or related field.
  • Experience with forensic technology tools and e-discovery.
  • Previous expert witness testimony experience.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
