Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and experienced Forklift Driver for an immediate start in Dorking, Surrey. Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles accurately and in a timely manner.
- Transport goods to and from storage areas, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth operational flow.
Required Skills
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification/License (e.g., ITSSAR, RTITB, NPORS)
- Proven experience as a Forklift Driver, ideally 6+ months in a busy warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach, VNA)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Previous experience in a logistics or distribution setting
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends if required
