Are you an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Driver seeking a pivotal role within a dynamic shipping warehouse environment? Career.zycto is actively recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics operation in Old Colorado City, Colorado Springs, looking for a dedicated individual to join their high-performing team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in the efficient movement and organization of goods, directly contributing to our client’s supply chain success.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of various types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models, to transport, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse and shipping areas. Your day-to-day will involve loading and unloading delivery trucks, moving goods to and from storage racks, and ensuring that all products are handled with care to prevent damage. Precision is key as you will be tasked with accurate order picking, staging products for shipment, and maintaining a meticulously organized inventory system.
A significant part of your contribution will be maintaining a safe working environment. This includes conducting pre-operation safety checks on your equipment, adhering strictly to all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations, and promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards. Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize products on pallets and racks, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
- Perform daily pre-operation safety checks on forklifts and report any defects or malfunctions.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Stage products for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding daily tasks and issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification.
- Proven experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory and order verification.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
