Job Description
Are you a highly creative and skilled Video Editor with a passion for storytelling and a desire to make a tangible impact? LENASO is seeking a talented Freelance Video Editor to join our remote team, contributing to vital communication efforts that support our mission in Lesotho. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated professional to work flexibly from anywhere, transforming raw footage into compelling visual narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
As our Freelance Video Editor, you will be instrumental in bringing our stories to life – from community testimonials and awareness campaigns to event highlights and educational content. You will be responsible for the full post-production workflow, including reviewing footage, making creative editorial decisions, cutting, color correcting, sound design, and incorporating graphics and motion effects to produce high-quality, engaging videos. We are looking for someone who can not only execute technical edits but also contribute creatively to the overall vision and impact of each project. Your work will directly support our advocacy, fundraising, and public awareness initiatives, helping us to reach more people and amplify our message across various digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute full video post-production, including editing, color grading, sound mixing, and motion graphics.
- Collaborate with the communications team to understand project requirements and creative vision.
- Select and combine the most effective shots into a coherent and impactful sequence.
- Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines, messaging, and quality standards.
- Manage and organize project files, footage, and assets efficiently.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine video edits.
- Stay updated with industry trends and new editing technologies.
- Deliver final video assets in various formats optimized for different platforms (web, social media, presentations).
Required Skills
- Proficiency in professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Strong understanding of video production and post-production workflows.
- Excellent storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail.
