Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily care and feeding of livestock, including cattle, sheep, and poultry, ensuring their welfare and health.
  • Support with fieldwork activities such as planting, cultivating, harvesting, and pest control for various crops.
  • Operate and maintain a range of farm machinery and equipment, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
  • Perform general farm maintenance, including fencing, repairs, cleaning of sheds and pens, and grounds upkeep.
  • Monitor crop and livestock health, reporting any issues or concerns to the farm manager.
  • Participate in seasonal tasks such as shearing, haymaking, and silage production.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Contribute to farm record-keeping, as required, for stock levels, feed consumption, and other operational data.
  • Assist with the movement of livestock between pastures and manage pasture rotation.
