Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security systems and solutions to protect enterprise data, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the incident response process, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-mortem analysis.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC (Secure Software Development Lifecycle) and implement DevSecOps principles.
  • Monitor security systems for anomalies, investigate security breaches, and manage security events.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new security technologies and tools to enhance our security posture.
  • Provide security training and awareness to employees across the organization.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR)
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, and security auditing tools
  • Familiarity with industry security standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation of security tasks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH)
  • Experience with secure coding practices and application security testing (SAST/DAST)
  • Knowledge of risk management methodologies and business continuity planning
  • Previous experience in a regulated industry or highly secure environment
