Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons and project managers with various tasks on-site.
- Perform general clean-up and site maintenance duties, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, following safety guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support team members in completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor immediately.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Execute manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physical labor role (e.g., landscaping, warehouse, construction) is an asset but not required.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety.
