Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, electricians, heavy equipment operators) with various tasks as directed.
- Perform general site cleanup and debris removal, ensuring a tidy and safe work area at all times.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas using appropriate safety measures.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision, strictly adhering to safety guidelines and training.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of temporary structures, scaffolding, and safety barriers.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Help with equipment maintenance and cleaning as required, ensuring tools are kept in good working order.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors promptly and accurately.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions effectively from supervisors and team members.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and strict adherence to all established protocols and procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a general labor, construction, or industrial setting (even volunteer work is beneficial).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification.
- Familiarity with various hand tools and basic power tools.
