Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily watering, fertilizing, and general care for a wide range of plants in a greenhouse setting.
- Monitor plants regularly for signs of pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, applying appropriate treatments under supervision.
- Execute pruning, potting, re-potting, and transplanting tasks with precision and care.
- Prepare growing media and planting beds according to specific plant requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the greenhouse facilities, including benches, aisles, and equipment.
- Operate and maintain greenhouse environmental control systems (e.g., ventilation, heating, irrigation) as required.
- Record and track plant growth, health, and treatment applications accurately.
- Assist in harvesting, packaging, and preparing plants or plant products for distribution or further processing.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, especially regarding chemical handling and equipment operation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in plant care, horticulture, or a related agricultural field.
- Basic knowledge of plant physiology, common plant diseases, and pest management techniques.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
