Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-operation and post-operation checks on all ground support equipment (GSE).
- Safely and efficiently load and unload cargo, baggage, and other materials following established procedures.
- Operate various ground support equipment, including but not limited to tugs, forklifts, and belt loaders, with adherence to safety guidelines.
- Marshal and direct vehicles and equipment on the operational grounds, ensuring smooth traffic flow and preventing incidents.
- Conduct regular visual inspections of operational areas to identify and remove foreign object debris (FOD) and potential hazards.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with team members, supervisors, and other operational personnel regarding status updates and any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures, regulatory compliance, and operational guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, reporting any deficiencies immediately.
- Assist with other ad-hoc operational tasks and support functions as required to ensure overall efficiency.
Required Skills
- Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs regularly) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and precision, with the ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
- Proven ability to work effectively in various weather conditions and a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry, record-keeping, and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a ground operations, warehouse, logistics, or similar physically active role.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of various ground support equipment (GSE).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is a definite asset.
- In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in an operational or industrial environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
