Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for various projects.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and design intent.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback, design changes, and site conditions.
- Maintain organized drawing files, documentation, and drawing registers.
- Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and quantities from CAD drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar software to a high standard.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design department.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
- Strong understanding of engineering and/or architectural drawing principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and design sketches.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, comfortable in a collaborative environment.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., BS, ISO).
Preferred Qualifications
- HNC/HND or a Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or a related technical field.
- Experience with other CAD software such as Revit, SolidWorks, MicroStation, or Inventor.
- Prior experience in a specific sector (e.g., structural, mechanical, civil engineering, MEP).
- Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles and processes.
