Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electronic circuits and systems for new products.
- Generate comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and bill of materials.
- Conduct thorough design reviews, ensuring adherence to specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prototype new hardware designs, perform initial bring-up, and conduct functional verification.
- Develop and execute test plans, ensuring the reliability, performance, and robustness of hardware systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage external suppliers and manufacturers for components and PCB fabrication.
- Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle, from development to production and field support.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in hardware engineering.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design.
- Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad).
- Strong understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems.
- Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB).
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
- Competence in hardware debugging and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with embedded C/C++ programming for hardware interaction.
- Knowledge of RF design principles and testing.
- Familiarity with design for EMC/EMI compliance and certification processes.
- Experience with power supply design and management.
