Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive fundamental and quantitative research on potential investment opportunities across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for valuation, forecasting, and risk assessment.
  • Perform in-depth industry analysis, competitive landscaping, and macroeconomic research to identify key trends and drivers.
  • Prepare detailed investment memos, reports, and presentations for senior management and portfolio managers.
  • Monitor existing portfolio holdings, track performance, and provide ongoing analysis of market developments and their potential impact.
  • Assist in the development and back-testing of new investment strategies and analytical tools.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to refine investment theses and execute trades.
  • Stay current with financial news, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting the investment landscape.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role within asset management, investment banking, private equity, or a hedge fund.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and statistical analysis.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis tools such as Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy) or R.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and investment strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA with a concentration in Finance or a quantitative discipline.
  • CFA candidacy or charterholder.
