Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Home-Based FP&A Assistant to join our dynamic finance team, supporting our operations from Harrow, London. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis, comparing actual results to budget/forecast and providing explanations for deviations.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support various business initiatives and scenario planning.
- Assist in data collection, validation, and analysis from various financial systems.
- Prepare presentations and summaries of financial results for senior management and client reviews.
- Collaborate with different departments to gather necessary financial information and insights.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of FP&A tools and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required by the finance team and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for remote collaboration.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a home-based environment.
- Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or FP&A role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards.
- Previous experience working in a professional services firm.
