Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchenettes (where applicable), to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Change bed linens, make beds neatly, and replace used towels with fresh, clean ones.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard surface floors, and dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces meticulously.
- Restock room amenities such as toiletries, coffee supplies, and promotional materials according to hotel guidelines.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport soiled linens and trash to designated disposal areas.
- Inspect rooms for any damages, missing items, or maintenance issues and report them promptly to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Handle guest requests and inquiries in a polite, professional, and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with guests and fellow team members at all times.
- Organize and maintain housekeeping carts, storage closets, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and push/pull a cart for extended periods.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic communication skills (reading, writing, speaking English) to understand instructions and interact with guests and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or customer service position.
