Key Responsibilities

  • Assist guests with reservations for restaurants, tours, transportation, and other services, ensuring all bookings are confirmed.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
  • Manage luggage handling, mail, and package delivery services efficiently and securely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and concierge desk area.
  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of the local area, including events, cultural highlights, and hidden gems, to offer personalized recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven customer service experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest needs.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, hotel management software).
  • A keen understanding of local geography, culture, and popular attractions in Ilorin and Kwara State.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English (e.g., Yoruba, Hausa).
  • Previous experience as a Hotel Concierge or Front Desk Agent.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) such as Opera or Fidelio.
