Career.zycto is actively recruiting a dedicated and charismatic Hotel Front Desk Assistant for one of our prestigious partner hotels in Abuja’s vibrant Asokoro district. This crucial full-time role places you at the heart of the guest experience, serving as the welcoming face of the establishment. You will orchestrate seamless guest arrivals and departures, manage reservations, and be the primary source of information on hotel amenities and local attractions. Your day will involve processing payments, handling inquiries, and resolving concerns with professionalism and empathy. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and efficiently manage check-ins and check-outs.
  • Handle all aspects of reservations, including new bookings, modifications, and cancellations.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information regarding hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and effectively, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Process various forms of payment and maintain precise cash handling and balancing procedures.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and assisting with report generation.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (e.g., housekeeping, concierge) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area.
  • Adhere strictly to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety and security protocols.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, internet browsing).
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (at least 1 year) in a hotel front desk or a similar customer service role.
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of an additional language (e.g., French, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo) is an advantage.
  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
